• Question: What would a man need to have to be able to become pregnant?

      Well, they would need a functional uterus at a minimum (assuming that embryo can be implanted externally so that there’s no need for ovaries). More importantly a man would have to get a complete overhaul of hormonal and metabolic systems because otherwise even with a functional uterus the embryo will not survive… I would say that this isn’t something that can be done today.

      At the very least, you would need some sort of functional artificial or modified womb with where in theory you could implant an embryo. If you were able to have some sort of injection system that added the required hormones etc you could have a pregnant man.

      However, if you meant from starting from scratch, the mean would no longer be a true man but would be transgender or a hermaphrodite , as you would need the transplant of women’s biological systems, surgery etc if you wanted pregnancy by the usual method..
