  I am short-sighted but it doesn’t affect my work at all. I usually wear contact lenses as I find it a bit annoying taking glasses off to look down the microscope and putting them back on again to do other things but plenty of scientists also wear glasses and it’s not a problem.

  I am short sighted. it doesn’t affect my work at all really. I tend to wear safety specs over my glasses, or wear contacts out of personal preference.

  Neither. Which is very good because I spend a lot of time staring into various kinds of microscopes! In my work vision is one of the key tools 🙂

  I am short-sighted too. I usually wear glasses but sometimes wear contact lenses. I also have some trendy safety glasses with my prescription lenses in! The only problems occur sometimes when I am using a microscope and find it better to take my glasses off then.
