• Question: have you ever nearly died?

      I was climbing a waterfall in Thailand one time, but the force of the water was too powerful for me. Luckily my strong Australian friend helped me up over it before I couldn’t continue and let go…Moral of the story: don’t think you are invincible..

      Yes, in retrospect I have done some stuff that had a very high chances of fatal outcome. However please consider the scary fact that we live on the edge of death all the time, the difference is that we normally do not have time to figure out that we’re in big trouble – and then it’s too late. In parallel to John’s suggestion, it is really quite helpful to think first and act second – especially when high energies, volatile substances, and other lethal phenomena are only a hand’s breadth away.
