• Question: Is doing the job you do now something you've always wanted to do, or did you just come across it?

      I wouldn’t say I always wanted to do it. I don’t think I really knew what “being a scientist” really was when I was at school. But I was always interested in science and by following that interest I ended up “being a scientist”! I did visit some labs and do some work in them while I was doing my A-levels and while I was at university to get a good idea of what it was like and I think that probably helped me to see that it was something that I would enjoy.
