Not really, Science is a passion for me, but I am not obsessed by it. In saying that though, the most successful scientists, or even any one who does anything such as footballers, lawyers politicians etc do seem to be obsessed by what they are doing.

I don’t think I was ever obsessed with science but I definitely felt I was enthusiastic about entering a world where nothing is certain and you get to view the world from a different point of view. I think if you were to become obsessed with a subject completely, it may well force you to neglect other aspects of life, such as your social life etc. Always keep an open mind!

Obsession has a negative sense to it, it is something that consumes and supersedes all other interests. I wouldn’t say that I am obsessed with science, however the amount of time I spend thinking about science is fairly large. But I can give it up any time I want to…

I wouldn’t say I am or ever was obsessed with science. I definitely find it fascinating and spend a lot of time even when I am not in the lab thinking about my work and my experiments but that’s because I like the challenge of thinking up a clever experiment I can do to answer a difficult scientific question 🙂 Its important to have other things in your life other than science though as otherwise I think you would become quite lonely and boring!
