In theory, about every 10-11 months of the ‘fertile’ period, and again – in theory – several babies at a time. Now, practically speaking this kind of insane reproductive cycle would almost certainly cause great harm to the mother (and the babies) and so it’s not likely to actually happen. The most kids recorded in history belong to a Russian family Vassilyev in the 18th century; Mrs. Vassiliyeva gave birth to 69 children of which 67 supposedly survived through infancy.

If you’re asking how many babies people can have in one pregnancy – the number seems to be anywhere between seven and ten. The record number of fetuses is fifteen (reported in 1971, not confirmed). A lady in Australia gave birth to nonuplets (also 1971) but unfortunately all the babies died. Surviving octuplets are reported, and several sets of septuplets as well.

I would also add to that, although biologically you could have many as at least one every year from the age of 12-16 depending when puberty hits girls up until late 40s, early 50s, the mother or family would be hard pushed to look after all the children properly. There would not be enough time to single handedly bring up all the children, you would need help from other people in your family or friends. Plus, would you be able to afford having that many children? Without help from government, you would not be able to afford food, clothes, a home big enough…

Plus, the mum would be a baby factory with no independence, having to go through so much pain and would probably be worn out all the time lol
