Question: whats your favorite bacteria

Ooo, great question. I once knew a scientist who said “you know you have made it in science when you have a favourite bacterium”!

I have worked for lots of years on Escherichia coli (but not the strains that causes stomach upsets) so I might have to say that. Bdellovibrio are quite exciting as they are amongst the fastest bacteria out there; they move at 100 times their length in a second! Treponema pallidum is also quite good as it is an interesting spiral shape!
